Memory Disorder Service

The Memory Disorder Service guides older people, their partners, families and caregivers through the sometimes confusing terrain of available eldercare options.

Services

  • In-person assessments by Master's level clinicians
  • Written recommendations and specific resource information
  • Discussion of caregiving concerns
  • Support for local and long-distance caregivers
  • Problem-solving strategies and effective communication techniques
  • Options for long term care planning
  • Collaboration with health care professionals about health issues
  • Advocacy and referral for entitlement programs

Eligibility

  • Older adults with Memory Disorder

Fees

  • Free initial consultation with Elder Care Advisor
  • Subsidy for clients of Somerville Cambridge Elder Services OR
    $300 per complete consultation; some scholarships available
