The Memory Disorder Service guides older people, their partners, families and caregivers through the sometimes confusing terrain of available eldercare options.
Services
- In-person assessments by Master's level clinicians
- Written recommendations and specific resource information
- Discussion of caregiving concerns
- Support for local and long-distance caregivers
- Problem-solving strategies and effective communication techniques
- Options for long term care planning
- Collaboration with health care professionals about health issues
- Advocacy and referral for entitlement programs

- Older adults with Memory Disorder
Fees
- Free initial consultation with Elder Care Advisor
- Subsidy for clients of Somerville Cambridge Elder Services OR
$300 per complete consultation; some scholarships available
