Home Care Program

The Home Care Program provides services to eligible older residents of Cambridge and Somerville who need assistance so they may continue to live independently and safely at home.

  • Adult Day Programs
  • Assistance with Personal Care
  • Food Shopping
  • Home Safety Adaptations
  • Housekeeping
  • Laundry
  • Meal Preparation
  • Meals-On-Wheels
  • Memory Disorder Consultation
  • Personal Emergency Response Systems
  • Supervision/Companionship
  • Transportation for Medical Appointments and Grocery Shopping

Eligibility

  • Age: 60 years or older unless individual has Memory Disorder
    (Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance not required)
  • Individual annual income less than $24,838 or couple annual income less than $35,145
  • Need for assistance with tasks such as bathing, dressing, housework, laundry, grocery shopping, medication reminders, meal preparation, or medical transportation

Fees

  • Services are state-subsidized
  • Co-payment amounts are on a sliding fee scale based on income
  • No co-payments for MassHealth recipients
